Homework

Students are expected to read their Independent Reading (IR) books each night. Fifty pages and writing about the book will be due each Monday for a grade in the Independent Reading category for Literature.

Journal Prompt Sheet Quarter 1: First entry due Friday, September 2nd.

TUESDAY:

LA: Sentence errors/find varieties while reading/conjunction list—quiz Thursday

WEDNESDAY:
Lit: Computer lab for MAP Testing (LIT)
LA: Computer lab for MAP Testing (LIT)

THURSDAY:
Lit: Signpost (A-Ha Moment) Work on “Thank You, M’am” Analysis Questions
LA: Conjunction quiz/sentence combining with conjunctions

FRIDAY:
Lit: Signpost (Memory Moment) Rough Draft of Letter to Mrs. Jones or Roger
LA: Sentence error corrections

Textbooks are kept in my classroom but can be sent home as needed for assignment completion. Students just need to ask me for one!

Late Work Policy

Late work will be accepted, but points will be deducted from the grade. Corrections can be made to any assignments. The original work and corrected work should be returned to the teacher the next school day. Absent work should be completed and turned in as soon as possible.
