Students are expected to read their Independent Reading (IR) books each night for Literature.
**Book Forms for all Independent Reading Books are due Monday, March 9th. These are submitted to me via Google Docs. The links are found on this webpage under Book Forms on the left under links.

8th Grade Language Arts Third Quarter —Students will be studying sentences and their parts, including complete and simple subjects and predicates, direct objects, indirect objects, predicate nominatives, and predicate adjectives. In addition to labeling and using these sentence parts in writing, students will begin to diagram sentences. Language Arts and Science will continue to collaborate for the school-wide science research project.
8th Grade Literature Third Quarter—Throughout the quarter students will be analyzing fiction and nonfiction works related to the Holocaust and the Civil Rights movement.
Important deadline: All independent reading book forms are due by March 9, 2015.
Textbooks are kept in my classroom but can be sent home as needed for assignment completion. Students just need to ask me for one!
