Newsletter

Welcome back!  I’m so excited to get this school year started!  Here are some things that our students will be learning while in the Reading Room this year:

  • Letters and sounds

  • Sight words

  • Fluency

  • Comprehension skills

As the school year goes on, please take some time every week to read with your child at home.  Here are some things that you can talk about at home after you are done reading:

  • What part did you like the most?

  • Why do you think the character did that?

  • Would you have done the same thing as __________?

  • Who do you think is the best character?

  • Where and when does the story take place?

  • How would you change the ending of the story?

Please let me know if you have any questions!  Let’s have a great school year!
