Enhanced Reading

Overview 
Enhanced reading classes are part of an intervention program. I teach Tier 2 classes, which use the Wilson Just Words curriculum. This is a 2 year program. I teach units 1-7 to 5th graders while Mrs. McNutt finishes the program with units 8-14 in 6th grade. Click here for more information about Wilson Just Words.

About Me

Hello! My name is Amanda Lamps. This is my 13th year teaching 5th grade at Central Intermediate School and my 4th year in the reading specialist position. I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Illinois State University and a Master of Arts Degree in Reading Instruction from Aurora University. I live in Peru with my husband, Brian, and daughters, Lauren (7) and Ellie (4).
