Hello, My name is Larry Ummel. I have taught in the Ottawa Elementary Schools for Twenty Four years. I received my Bachelor of Science in Education from Illinois State University.

Rules and Expectations
1. Respect everyone and everything.
2. Follow directions the first time they are given.
3. Come prpared to class.
4. Always think safety.
5. Show good sportsmanship.
 

Grading- 5 points daily
Students will be graded on the following.
1 point for being prepared for class.*
1 point for participating in class.
1 point for showing knowledge of skill or game.
1 point for performing skill correctly.
1 point cooperation and effort.
*Students will need to have a seperate pair of gym shoes that will stay at school.

Exercise Calendar and Remote Learning Ideas

 
Welcome back Kids! I am so excited to see everyone and get back to P.E. I hope everyone had a relaxing break.
Over the next couple of weeks the students will be participating in Volleyball and low organized activities(P.E. Pinball & LInetag). In addition to these activities the 3rd through 6th grade will engage in state mandated fitness testing. These test include- Pacer test which measures cardio vascular fitness. Sit and reach which measures flexibility. Push-ups and sit-ups which measures muscular strength and endurance. Let's have a great second half of the year.

Grading Scale

 Grades 3-4.
100-90 A
89-80 B
79-70 C
69-60 D
59-00 F
There is no homework or late work.
 
Grades k-2.
M- meeting
D- developing
N- not meeting 
There is no homework or late work.
