1st Grade- Ms. Hovious

Hello!
My name is Ms. Hovious and I am a 1st Grade Teacher here at Lincoln. This is my fourth year teaching 1st Grade at Lincoln. Previously, I was the K-4 Reading specialist.  I graduated from St. Ambrose University with my degree in Elementary Education, endorsed in Reading and Language Arts. I have always loved working with 1st graders and I am very excited to see what the year has in store for our class! If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me. Each day students will bring home a reading bag with books at their current reading level. Please read at least one book from the reading bag with your child each night. Students will then color their reading log for each book that they read. At the end of the month, I will collect the reading logs. Students who fill up at least one side of their reading log will get a special prize from me.
