At OES, we are very fortunate to have a piece of history right on our property that our students get to experience and enjoy!
Join us as we celebrate National School Lunch Week this week! We have themed the menu for the week around things you might eat at a circus, with a tasty treat each day! All students who take a school lunch this week will have the chance to win a Cafeteria Circus goodie bag! Remind your kiddos to check the bottom of their tray before throwing it away to see if they have a sticker. If they find one, simply turn it in to the lunch server to claim a prize!
Did. you know that over 30 million kids eat a school lunch each day in the US? That's over 4.8 billion meals each year making your school cafeteria part the largest fast food chain in the country! (Roughly 915.000 -1 million are in Illinois alone!)

On Friday, we had our Monthly Champions of the Charter Assembly!
Our Champions were recognized for helping build our community and also participated in a competitive game of "Keep it Up!"
In the end, 5th grade House 1 was victorious! Ms. Kowalski's class will house the Championship Belt in their classroom because they were wearing the most of their house color!
The soccer game scheduled for September 3rd has been canceled.
Central will be participating in a Mrs. Fields fundraiser now through October 35th Information and order forms were sent home with your child today. Orders can be placed on the paper form or through the online link. All money should be collected prior to turning in order forms. Checks can be written to Central Intermediate School. If you have any questions, please contact the school office.

This Friday, September 4th, we’re coming together for the McLaughlin family that is going through a difficult time right now.
Students can help out by bringing a small donation and wearing red or Ottawa High School spirit wear.
Let’s fill the day with red and show the McLaughlins the power of our Cyclone community!
