McKinley Families,
Welcome back and I hope your family had a restful and enjoyable summer! It has been an exciting and smooth start to the school year. The halls are once again filled with the energy, laughter, and enthusiasm that make our school such a special place to learn and grow!
To ensure the safety of our students please make sure to use our crosswalks with crossing guards whenever crossing McKinley Street or State Street in the front of the school. If you are dropping your child off for breakfast please make sure you are proceeding North on State Street so students are not crossing the road in front of the school.
Please make sure your child's iPad is fully charged every night. This will ensure that students are able to utilize their iPad throughout the day as needed. We appreciate your help and understanding in this matter.
Thank you for your support in getting this year off to a great start. Our students have returned ready to learn, and our teachers are energized and committed to creating engaging and meaningful experiences. From classroom routines to school-wide expectations, we are already building a strong foundation for a successful year ahead.
We believe that strong partnerships with families are essential. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to your child’s teacher or to our office with any questions or concerns. We have already seen so many moments of kindness, curiosity, and growth. Whether it's in the classroom, on the playground, or in the lunchroom, our students are showing us they are ready to embark upon a new school year. We are looking forward to a year full of learning, creativity, and connection!

Welcome Back!
We hope everyone had an amazing summer break!
A big welcome to Kelsey Tomano! She is the new Treasurer for the PTO. We are excited to have her on the board!
We have lots of fun things planned this year. We have our old favorites and adding a few new things into the mix!
We started the year off for the teachers with a little money to help get their rooms ready and we provided them with coffee and donuts.
COMING UP:
*We currently have our spirit wear link up. That will be open until September 15th.

*In October McKinley will be having the 5B’s BBQ drive through dinner. Ticket information will be sent home with the kids.
*The PTO will also be hosting a Dueling Pianos night at Pine Hills on Oct 3rd. This will be a fun parents night out! More information will come out about that soon!
*The fall book fair will be returning on September 17th and 18th. Want to shop with your kids? We will have an evening book fair on the 18th from 4:30-6:00 pm.
We have plenty more to come and a lot of volunteer opportunities so be on the lookout for the google forms sent by the office.
Just a reminder…we want to make all of our events fun and a lot of them we cannot do without the wonderful families. We know things happen, so if you sign up to help and cannot make it, please let us know as soon as you can so we can so we can try and get someone to fill in. Also, the daddy/daughter dance and the mother/son game night are just that. We kindly ask that you refrain from bringing your entire family to these events. Thank you for your understanding!
We are ready to get this year going!
Our first PTO meeting of the school year will be held on Wednesday September 10th at 5:30 in the gym! Anyone is welcome to attend. This is where we keep everyone updated on the events coming up and you’re the first to know when we need volunteers!
We hope everyone has a great start to the school year!
