April Lunch Menu

Huge shout out to the Shepherd students that came over to Jefferson for lunch and to sit with our March Champion of the Charter kiddos. Thanks so much!!!!

The 2nd Grade classes celebrated the International Day of Happiness with a special guest from a local organization called Believe in UGanda. Debbie Damron taught us about life and schooling in Uganda, Africa and the power of happiness. We learned that happiness can be achieved by helping others. Our 2nd Graders donated coins and hardcover books to help the people of rural Uganda. We will also be creating an alphabet poster to be used as a resource in an Ugandan classroom.

These students were selected for this honor because they went above and beyond to make their classroom a positive learning environment by doing the right thing, being a positive role model and for demonstrating emotional intelligence. We are very proud of all the recipients from OES at the John Ourth recognition breakfast this morning, but we are extremely proud of two of our very own recipients, Anna and Blane. Way to represent Jefferson Elementary, you both really deserve it!!!!!!

Mrs. McConville's 1st graders went for the gold! Their sport, freestyle skiing, earned the most medals during the Winter Olympics! ⛷️❄️

Team USA won 33 total medals and we all had fun learning about the winter sports and cheering them on! 🇺🇸🥇

Here is some information on the OEHS Music Fest being held this Sunday the 22nd at Ottawa High School starting at 2:00 with doors being opened at 1:30.

Come out to Lone Buffalo TONIGHT from 5-9PM to support Jefferson! 🐾

It is time to announce our January Champions of the Charter. We are so proud of these JES Panthers for showing empathy, kindness and making the classroom a PAWS-itive learning environment for all.
