We hope everyone is feeling in the yellow, especially with the awesome news we are about to share! It is time to announce April’s Champions of the Charter! The following students were hand selected by their classroom teachers for demonstrating emotional intelligence throughout the month of April. These pawsome students were recognized for making positive choices that align with their classroom charter, which include the following behaviors: having a positive mindset, persevering through challenges, using tools/strategies to overcome unpleasant emotions, spreading kindness to others, including everyone, and helping their classmates in need. April’s Champions of the Charter definitely let their best self shine bright by having the heart and mindset of a champion! We are all feeling in the yellow at JES and are so PROUD of you emotional scientists!!!!
Here are April’s Champions of the Charter:
Kindergarten: Amelia D., Nico S., Dillinger B., and Itzel M.
1st Grade: Lesly M., Chris J., and Caleb H.
2nd Grade: Mason A., Colette K., Fiona G., and Ryker R.
3rd Grade: Mya H., Khemar L., and Declan D.
4th Grade: G.G. R., Noah H., and Jed R.
Also, a huge thank you to some of our SMS students, who were our VERY special VIP guests during our Champion of the Charter luncheon. Fun fact, our special guests were also nominated as Champions of the Charter throughout the 24-25 school year for demonstrating emotional intelligence at SMS as well!!

In celebration of our Spring Raffle, the top two ticket sellers got some prizes in today's assembly! Our 2nd Place Ticket Seller, Adele, received a gift card and our 1st Place Ticket Seller, Addy, got a gift card and the chance to pie Mr. Pinter and a staff member of their choice! Miss Chamberlain was the lucky staff member chosen! What a fun way to end the week! Congrats to our top two ticket sellers and a big thank you to EVERYONE that sold tickets!

Today, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th graders had the opportunity to watch a mock trail for Law Day! They watched the trial of Goldilocks vs. The Three Bears. A jury of students got to decide the verdict.
Thank you so much to Alexis Ferracuti and Travis Dunn for coming to participate in the Mock Trial!

Just a reminder to return raffle tickets and money as soon as possible if you have not returned them yet! The raffle will be held on Friday!
