The American Legion and Auxiliary sponsor the Poppy Poster Contest every year. This year, five students submitted their artwork for their grade level. Iris H. won 1st place for her grade level division and advanced to the national level in Springfield. Congratulation Iris!

Just a note to say that the posted menu lists a lunch meal on Friday, May 16th. That is a half day of school, so no lunch will be served.
Breakfast will be served at all buildings, as usual.

On May 3rd, a group of Shepherd students participated in the AATSP Regional Spanish Culture Contest at LaSalle-Peru High School. Congratulations to Ahida M. and Alex L. on their artwork, and congratulations to the Shepherd band ensemble of Susie A., Emersen B., Natalie D., Landon F., Raidynn F., Mady G., Landon G., Ireland K., Elaina K., Inara M., Eduardo N., Ashlyn O., and Jace S. on taking 1st Place in the Instrumental Music category. Wonderful job!

The Shepherd Band concluded its Elementary School tour yesterday. Over the course of two days, they visited and performed for the students of Jefferson, Lincoln, McKinley, and Central. Thank you to these young musicians for bringing their talents to our school communities!

The Central Shepherd PTO is hosting a fundraiser at Papa Johns on Wednesday, March 19.
Help support Shepherd Student Council by dining at Culver's Tuesday, March 11 from 4:00-7:00.
In addition to a percentage of sales, Culver's just started a "Round Up" feature, where guests can round their total up to the dollar and it goes to the organization as well.
Shepherd Middle School has a 7th grade ELA opening for the 2025-2026 school year.
