We celebrated the lucky Lunch In The Library Winners from family reading night this week. These students read at home and turned in their slips to the library to be entered into the drawing. One winner from each class was picked. Thank you to all that entered. Reading takes you on the greatest adventures!

This is just a reminder of our December PTO meeting tonight at 5:30 p.m. PTO will also have the Tis' the Season drawing after school today and will be contacting all of the winners. Thank you to everyone for your support in this fundraiser!
We recently celebrated our Golden Book Award Winners. Ms. Medina, Mrs. Walker, Mrs. Houk, Mrs. Munz, Mrs. Vincent and Mrs. Sullivan were the grade winners. These classes earned the most stickers for good behavior and for the whole class remembering their books on library day. In addition, they were treated to an extra recess by Mrs. Jett!

This is just a reminder of our fundraiser tomorrow. If you visit the Buffalo Wild Wings in Peru on Saturday, December 7th anytime from 11:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. a portion of the proceeds will donated back to McKinley. This fundraiser applies to both dine-in and carry-out orders, however online order or deliveries will not be honored. We appreciate your support!

Please see the attached flyer for an upcoming holiday program that the Putnam County Public Library will be hosting at the Granville branch. The program is free and open to the public!

3rd graders at McKinley created ornaments to decorate a tree at the Reddick Mansion. They worked so hard and the tree looks awesome. If you have a moment, you can scan the QR code and visit the website to vote for their tree. It is tree #2. We hope you enjoy!

We wish everyone a happy and safe Thanksgiving!
Students from Ms. Hendrickson, Mrs. Berryman, and Mrs. Sullivan's classes all enjoyed a Thanksgiving FEAST together! Students socialized and met new friends during their time together. A big thank you to Mrs. McConnell for preparing their feast!

Congratulations to our Champion of the Charter students. They enjoyed their Jimmy John's luncheon today!

💰McKinley’s second graders had another special guest today!
💵Students had the opportunity to learn all about money from Miss Crystal from Financial Plus Credit Union!
💰They learned have to save, spend, and share!

To our students and families, great job completing your Book Blast Treasure Maps and enjoy your fun prizes! We will celebrate soon with all the books heading our way. Jump for joy and get ready for book delivery day! Contributions will be accepted through Sunday.

🐝Wes Budach from Wuzzle Bee Farms presented to McKinley’s 2nd Grade today on beekeeping!
🐝Students learned the importance of beekeeping, what a regenerative beekeeper is, the life cycle of a honeybee, and all of the tools used to make beekeeping possible.
🐝Wes and his wife, Megan, are the owners of Wuzzle Bee Farms. They currently have around 320,000 honeybees, and they were able to harvest 400 pounds of honey. They left around 250 pounds for the bees to eat during the winter.
🐝We cannot thank Mr. Budach enough for his presentation and knowledge of bees!

We are encouraging students to wear purple tomorrow (Wednesday, November 13th) to help us celebrate World Kindness Day!

Two of our 1st graders used their reward tickets to have lunch with Officer Berninger and a friend. They enjoyed their lunch together!
