What a fantastic end to the year! We started off the day with an assembly that concluded with having Mrs. Houk be the last to limbo out of the gym. Congratulations to Mrs. Houk on her retirement and thank you for your many years of service here at OES! You will be greatly missed and we wish you an enjoyable retirement! We concluded the day by celebrating our 4th graders with a parade through the halls! Have a great summer!!!

A big thank you to Carus for providing a presentation and display for our students! Our students thoroughly enjoyed all of your chemistry knowledge! We appreciate you sharing your love of science with our students!

McKinley Families, This is a reminder that tomorrow (Tuesday, June 3rd) is the final day of attendance for the 2024-25 school year and students in grades K-6 will be dismissed at 11:30 a.m. Report cards will be sent home with students. We are excited to see the growth students were able to achieve this year and look forward to continuing this growth again next school year. For families moving out of the district or graduating to Central School, we wish you the best and will miss you. For those families who will be returning to McKinley next school year, we look forward to seeing you again in August. Additional information regarding the start of 2025-26 school year will be sent to families through SchoolStatus and TeacherEase in August. The first day of student attendance next school year is Wednesday, August 20th. We wish everyone a safe and enjoyable summer!

The 3rd trimester library behavior rewards parties were this week. Ms. Ferguson, Miss Holbert, Mrs. Houk, Mrs. A. Johnson, Mr. Jett and Mrs. Sullivans classes were the winners in their grade levels. The weather didn't cooperate to start the week off so some of the parties were held in the library. Some classes were able to enjoy the story outside. The students listened to a story while enjoying popsicles. We have had a great year in the library!

We have had a busy past couple of days at McKinley. Students had a blast with all of our field day festivities and we would like to give a big thank you to PTO and all of our parent volunteers who helped make this event a success! Today we hosted our annual 4th grade vs. staff kickball game and our staff barely came out with a win! We look forward to our last few days of fun!

Mr.Jett's 4th grade class dissected owl pellets. They found all kinds of surprises inside!
